FALCON NOTES

It has been a wonderful week back from the Thanksgiving break.  Every group has been hard at work preparing for the Holiday Concert at CV this Friday.  (yes. this Friday!!)
The concert starts at 7:00pm will be in the Auditorium. Please try to be on time since we have many wonderful songs to perform and we don't want the audience to miss any of them.  Lines begin forming around 6:40.
Tickets are $7.00 and $5.00 for students with an ASB card or any Rosemont student and young children.
There will also be a bake sale so bring your appetite!
The Holiday season is officially here!  The Marching Band performed in the annual Montrose Christmas Parade with rave reviews.   I was extremely proud of our students as they Marched down Honolulu Boulevard.  They sounded strong and looked very sharp.

Don't forget to come to our last Parent Meeting of 2005 this Tuesday in the music room from 7:00 - 8:00.  If you've never been to a parent meeting, this is your chance to become involved and find out more about the instrumental music department!  See you there!

BORDERS GIFT WRAP

It's not too late to sign up to work at Borders.  We desperately need students and parents to help giftwrap presents at Borders.  Shifts are only 2 hours and you can earn credit towards your student account which helps pay for San Francisco.

MONTROSE CHRISTMAS PARADE - Wrap up
Last Saturday, the Crescenta Valley High School Marching Band helped to usher in the Holiday Season by performing at the Montrose Christmas Parade.  The band marched down Honolulu Blvd energizing the crowd with our two holiday selections "A Star City Christmas," and "Santa Clause is coming to town."  We incorporated some unique dance moves which surprised and delighted the audience as the drummers were able to into the audience and wish them a Merry Christmas.  Between our amazing Drumline and their infectious rhythms and the Solid Sounding Marching Band, this was the best sounding Group I have every had march at the Montrose Christmas Parade.  Congratulations!   We were the hit of the parade!  Pictures will be online this week.
FUND RAISING UPDATES

JAZZ BAND AT LOS GRINGOS RAPIDO - Wrap up
Jazz Band played at their first gig with much success last Tuesday at Los Gringos Rapido.  We had a very large audience as we performed in front of the restaurant.  Thank you for attending this performance / fundraiser.  Even though it was a bit cold, many of you came out to support our wonderful musicians.
Don't miss out on our other two performances this Holiday season.  Check the calendar for more details!
