CVHS Instrumental Music Department  Foundation

Notes from your CVIM Co-Presidents

Welcome to the new school year, and welcome to Crescenta Valley Instrumental Music!

Each of us is an instrumental music parent, and between us we’ve had 3 children involved in 3 different classes in the CVHS instrumental music program.  Our children (and yours) are extremely fortunate to be a part of this rich, growing program.  Every year, the CV instrumental music groups win more awards at the various competitions each group enters.

We believe that involvement in this program is an extremely positive influence on our children: it’s simply one of the best places for our teens to spend their time during their high school years.  To keep this program strong and moving ever upward, we parents need to continue to support it with our positive attitudes and new ideas, our time and our resources.

The CVIM parent meetings are either the second or third Tuesday of each month (check the website for the exact schedule) and run from 7:00 to 8:00pm in the music room.

CVIM is an IRC Section 501 (c)(3) tax-exempt, non-profit charitable organization that supports the CVHS instrumental music program by raising money and providing volunteers for music department events.  All donations to CVIM are fully tax-deductible.  CVIM supports the activities of all the CVHS instrumental music groups: Symphony Orchestra, Marching/Concert Band, Jazz Band, String Orchestra, and Wind Ensemble.

As co-presidents, we are committed to working collaboratively with all of you to help make this the best year ever.  Thank you for supporting your children and the music program!

 Sincerely,

 Tracey and Susan
