FALCON NOTES We're already down to our second month of school. Quarter grades are coming out soon and do you know how many sectionals your child has done? As we figure out how to make the most out of our new online database "Charms," please understand that it is a great resource to see if students have done assignments. It tracks sectionals, quizzes, and papers. However, it has an odd way of weighting grades and listing grades for students. I will be posting actual grades in the music room next week for students to check. Hopefully by next semester we'll have the online grade system working. I hope everyone has a safe and happy Halloween. |

QUOTE OF THE WEEK "Keep eye contact with me. Look up before anything goes wrong. Better to come in early than late. It is everybody's responsibility to make music together. Move your body to the music and let me hear in your sound what the music looks like. Be more daring and put more personality in your interpretation. Put on your Johnny Depp pirate clothes and be more adventuresome!" some exhortations by Simon Rattle, Director of the Berlin Philharmonic, while guest teaching a college orchestra class |
