'State of the Schools' Breakfast
When:  Thursday, October 2, 2008 AM
Where: Edison Elementary School,
435 So. Pacific Ave., Glendale CA.
Who: Marching Band
What: Fundraiser Breakfast for the Glendale Education Foundation
Report Time: 6:45am. at CVHS
Dismiss Time: ~9:30am at CVHS(back to class)
What to bring & wear: Wear band T-shirt and clothes that a uniform will go over.  Don't forget BAND SHOES and GLOVES.
Misc: This event takes place during school hours, periods 0,1,2.  Band will be performing the rousing finale to a breakfast meeting of the most influential business and community leaders in Glendale, supporting the Glendale Educational Foundation.  Last year State Superintendent of Schools and a State Senator attended.
 



Football vs. Burroughs - Home
When:  THURSDAY, October 2, 2008
Where: Glendale High School, Moyse Field
1440 East Broadway, Glendale, CA 91205
Who: Marching Band, Drum Line, Colorguard
What: We will perform pep songs in the stands and our field show during half-time to support our football team and entertain the audience.
Report Time: 4:30 p.m. at CVHS

Parent Meeting - October

Where: Instrumental Music Room (3102)
Who: All Parents 
What:  Meet other Instrumental booster parents and learn how you can support your child in this music program.

Dismiss Time: 8:00 p.m.
Misc: This is a very important opportunity to learn how you can get involved in CV's growing and expanding music program. We will discuss future dates, chaperoning, and other opportunities and needs.

UCLA Band Day

Rose Bowl, Pasadena
Who: Marching Band, Drum Line, Colorguard
What:
We will go to the UCLA vs. Stanford game and perform in a half-time show with other High School Bands from Southern California.
Report Time:
7:00m @ CVHS
Game Time: 1:00pm
Dismiss Time:
5:30pm @ CVHS
What to bring & wear: 
wear class B (polo & jeans), and bring Band Uniform, no hat.

This is a great opportunity to see a College football game in person and meet students from other High Schools.


Football vs Hoover - HOMECOMING
When:  Friday, October 24, 2008
Where: Glendale High School Moyse Field

What: This is our Homecoming game and we will play our field show during pre-game and will play different music during half-time as the Homecoming Court walks across the field.

What: We may miss the away game against Muir, and take advantage of the field to be practicing for the three competitions coming up in November.

Home Game | Away Games

All Home Football Games are played at:

Students are bused to every home game.  Please refer to the detailed information regarding specific times for a specific event.

What to Bring & Wear to
Home Football Games:
● Marching Band T-shirt
● Marching Shoes - clean!
● White socks
● Gloves - clean and white!
● Instrument
● Music / Lyre / Flip Folder
● Cash for concessions (3rd quarter treats will be provided by the boosters)

DON'T FORGET: You must have your complete uniform or you will not be able to perform and your grade will suffer. A fine will be incurred if equipment is lost.

Uniform Etiquette:
Always keep your uniform clean and with you.  Do NOT leave your Jacket, sash or hat on the floor (grass or pavement).  If you must take off your Jacket, it needs to be hung neatly.
The hat boxes are not chairs.
You are responsible for all cleaning and repairing costs which are a result of negligence.

There will be a 3rd quarter break for the band during home and away football games where band members may get refreshments. No eating "messy" foods (i.e. nachos, chili, etc) while in uniform.  

Away Football Game Information

Students are bused to every away football game.  Refer to the detailed information for each specific event.

● If weather is cold, Navy Jacket or optional CV outerwear
