 FALCON NOTES
Audition: The very word strikes angst and fear in the hearts of many.
Miriam Webster Defines Audition as:
2
: the act of hearing; especially : a critical hearing <an audition of new recordings>
3
: a trial performance to appraise an entertainer's merits
Over 86 students have signed up to audition for either Jazz Band and Symphony Orchestra for next year.  This doesn't include the 51 students currently enrolled in both classes who have already re-auditioned.  By the end of tomorrow, I will have listened to about 137 students.  As hard as it is to evaluated individuals based on one audition, it's even harder to gather the nerve to actually audition.  I applaud everyone who had the courage to seek out a piece, get help, and audition.  Even if students don't achieve their desired result, they have grown tremendously just by going through the audition process.  Good luck!

Car Wash tickets are now on sale!!  $5 will get you a clean exterior to your car, and support CV Instrumental Music Foundation at the same time.

Due to the take-over of the upper parking lot by bungalows, this semester's Car Wash will take place just up Ramsdell, in the large parking lot below Office Depot.  Be there!!

Every student is being asked to sell 5 tickets, and must either turn in money and/or unsold tickets equaling $25 by 5/16.

Students who sell 5 tickets will earn 1 sectional credit and 1 chance to win a 4gig IPOD Nano.  Every two tickets above 5 that a students sells, will give them another chance to win!   We will be giving away 2 IPOD Nanos as well other prizes!
