 FALCON NOTES

We've now left the starting gate.  Symphony came home with a Superior Rating at the SCSBOA Festival in Mayfair on Thursday!  Jazz Band earned an Excellent this Saturday at the Esperanza SCSBOA Festival and the musical opens it's first weekend run.  We have a breather week next week and then it gets really busy with festivals for Band, Wind Ensemble, String Orchestra and Symphony.  In preparation for the busy times ahead, start planning ahead now.  Make sure that your student is available for rehearsals Monday, March 17 and Wednesday March 19 from 3:00 - 5:30.  Plan now to come and enjoy the Spring Concert on Thursday March 20th at 7:00pm.  Invite your friends, family and neighbors.  If you work that night, start now to rearrange your schedule so that you can support your child in CV's annual Spring Concert.  We had a great audience for the Winter Concert and I hope to see all you at the upcoming Winter Concert.

 IMPORTANT SPRING CONCERT NOTES

Spring Concert rehearsals have been changed to MONDAY and Wednesday, March 17 & 19, (formerly Tuesday and Wednesday) due to conflicts with the Baldwin Park Festival times. 

Mark your calendar: This year the Instrumental Spring Concert will fall on a THURSDAY night, 3/20, not the typical Friday night.  The whole school calendar is very busy this year, and we didn't want to have the concert on Good Friday!

- KIWANAS CAR SHOW

We just found out last week that the annual Kiwanas Car Show will be Sunday March 16th. 

Call time: 10:00 am - AT CVHS
Dress: Blue Jazz Band polo shirts and jeans
We have five parent drivers yet need one more big car.  Please email Mr. Schick if you would like to drive.
 
 SEE'S CANDY PICK UP - March 12th

If you purchased See's Candy, students can pick up their orders on Wednesday March 12th.  Any candy left in the music room after the 14th, will be resold.  Please be sure and pick up your orders.
 CVIM MEETING 3-11-08

Join us for this month's Booster club and foundation meeting this Tuesday, March 11 in the band room from 7-8pm!  This is a great way to find out what's happening in the department and also to meet other instrumental parents.
