 FALCON NOTES
Tomorrow is the day!  I encourage all of you to attend our annual Instrumental Winter Holiday Concert.  It will be one of the most spectacular Winter Concerts ever.  Our students have been preparing for this fun filled concert since October and I can guarantee that you will be impressed.  The concert starts at 7:00pm and is $8.00 for adults and $5.00 for young children and students with an ASB card.  It'll be a great way to start the holiday season.  You will hear Jazz Band, Symphony Orchestra, String Orchestra, Wind Ensemble and of course the CV Marching Band with Colorguard and Drumline!
Last Friday the CV Marching Band performed at the Montrose Parade to an enthusiastic audience as they played two holiday marches.
It's been a great week and I look forward to seeing you at the Concert!

 WINTER CONCERT

Join us for the first concert of the school year!  All the instrumental classes have been working hard to prepare their holiday pieces and are looking forward to sharing the music with family, friends, and the community!

The music starts this Friday, Dec. 7 at 7pm in the CVHS auditorium.  Admission is $8 adults, $5 students (w/ASB) at the door.

 LOST AND FOUND OUTERWEAR

There are currently 15+ articles of "lost" clothing that have been collecting all Marching season, most of which are Band shirts and sweaters. :(

If you know your son or daughter is missing something, please contact me immediately.  After the season (this weekend), the articles will become property of band.

Due to the high amount of lost items this season, we are now offering outerwear embroidered with your name.  The prices are slightly higher than before, but hopefully this will reduce the number of missing items in the future.  Revised order forms will be available soon!

 HELP AFTER CONCERT NEEDED

Because there is an event in the auditorium on Saturday, we will need help taking down some decorations and clean up after tomorrow's concert.  Any parents willing to volunteer and help would be appreciated! :)

 FUNDRAISING OPPORTUNITIES

To help students defray the cost for this year's San Diego trip, there are a number of upcoming fundraisers students can participate in:

1) Community Discount Cards:
Come get your cards!!  Students can now purchase 5 cards for $25.00.  Each card sells for $10.00.  Student will collect $50.00 from sales.  Students then keep the initial $25.00 and turn in the $25.00 profit towards their San Diego Trip.

2) Border's gift wrap:
Sign ups are done!  Thank you to everyone who volunteered to help this month.

HOLIDAY CANNED FOOD AND TOY DRIVE

It's that time of the year again!  Bring in canned food and toys this holiday season to the band room.  All classes can participate and students will receive extra credit towards their grade.

QUOTE OF THE WEEK

It is only by introducing the young to great literature, drama and music, and to the excitement of great science that we open to them the possibilities that lie within the human spirit—enable them to see visions and dream dreams.
