FALCON NOTES Wow! Two weeks in a row! It's getting near the end of the school year are we are already planning for next year. We are on our second week of auditions. Results will be posted by Friday. I've heard some really talented individuals and next year sounds like it will be just as energetic and exciting as this year. We are also in the middle of Colorguard clinics. If you haven't been yet, it isn't too late to join this quickly growing squad. Drum Line clinics will begin this week. I will email the day and times shortly. Many things are coming up such as the car wash, pops concert, end of the year banquet, and graduation. It is VITAL that you attend the next booster meeting so that the end of the year comes smoothly. We will be voting in each class on student officers for next year and student awards. Please see Mr. Schick if you don't get a ballot due to AP Tests. Have a great week and good luck on AP's! |

JUNE CAR WASH The Instrumental Department will be hosting a Car Wash to raise funds on Saturday, June 2. We will need volunteers to help the day of! More information to come :) |
TASTE OF DOWNTOWN GLENDALE - JAZZ Next Wednesday is the Taste of Downtown Glendale event. Jazz Band's call time is 4:30pm at CV. We will carpool to a specific performance location on Brand.

MARK BLINOFF GRANT Our second annual Mark Blinoff Memorial Grant is now available. Grants up to $300.00 will be awarded to graduating seniors who have been active in an instrumental music performing group at CVHS and wishes to continue their music education at a college, university, or conservatory of music. If a senior does not plan in majoring in music, they must demonstrate how they will still play music in college.

MAY BOOSTER MEETING To all Parents of CVHS Instrumental Music students: You are cordially invited to attend the next-to-last meeting of this year of the CV Instrumental Music Foundation “boosters”, on Tuesday, May 8, 2007. If you haven’t yet attended one of our monthly meetings, now is a great time to start! If you want to know more about your student’s credits from fundraising, the year-end banquet, our upcoming car wash, remaining concerts, and much more, then you owe it to yourself - and your student - to come to the meeting! (We’re also just beginning to make some plans for next year’s budget, fundraising, and activities, so now’s the time to let your voice be heard.)
