FALCON NOTES As we approach the end of another very successful year, I want to thank everyone who took time out of their busy schedules to volunteer for the Instrumental Music Program. We have many incredibly talented, dedicated and selfless individuals who donate their time and resources to CV Instrumental Music. With over 250 students, it takes careful planning, and organizing to ensure that every student has a valid and enriching music experience. I could not do it alone. Thank you! Next week is our final concert of the year! Don’t miss out on “Story Time,” the Instrumental Pops Concert. Story-telling is a timeless and important art-form. Music provides a wonderful tapestry in which to tell and recall stories. From young favorites such as “Sesame Street,” to modern marvels such as “Mulan” as well as the zaniness of “Killer Tomatoes” and “Godzilla,” join us June 8th at 7:00pm as we explore the “programmatic” art-form of Music. |

POPS CONCERT REHEARSALS The annual Instrumental Pops Concert is on Friday, June 8 at 7pm!!! In preparation for this concert, all groups have mandatory rehearsals next week on Tuesday & Wednesday, June 5 & 6. These rehearsals will work the same way as the Winter and Spring Concerts' rehearsals. Rehearsals are from 3-5:30pm. Each group is only rehearsing for 15 minutes during those hours. Students are allowed to bring homework to work on during the "dead" time. Specific rehearsal times will be announced during the week of the concert. |
ENSEMBLE CONCERT Our spring ensemble concert was amazing! Our new venue this semester provided an intimate setting compared to the La Crescenta Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Alderman graciously allowed us to use the choir room. Everyone rose to the occasion in the last hectic weeks of school to provide a musical and entertaining concert. |

JUNE BOOSTER MEETING Everyone is encouraged to join us at our last meeting on Tuesday, June 12, as we look back at the 2005-6 year and prepare for next year. |
