FALCON NOTES

Busy, busy, busy!  It's hard to imagine the Instrumental music program without thinking "busy."
This week we have our annual Fall Ensemble Concert at the La Crescenta Presbyterian Church starting at 7:00.  Please come out and support our music department by attending this free event.  You will hear some amazing music performed by extremely talented students.  Extra credit will be given to those who attend.
We also have a dining out night at Dominick's on Thursday.  Download a form online and plan to eat Italian!
For students and chaperones going to Florida, the 2nd payment of $150.00 is due this week on the 15th.  We sent out payment reminders two weeks ago.  Thank you to those who have already submitted their payments.
This Saturday, the marching band, colorguard and drumline will march in their last competition at Moorpark.  If you haven't seen their show yet, come out and cheer us on!
Thank you to those who went to the last parent meeting, we had a higher attendance and as promised, we were done by 8:00.
Have a great week!

 ENSEMBLE CONCERT 11-14-06

Come listen as Symphony Orchestra students perform ensemble pieces this Tuesday, November 14!

The concert starts at 7pm at the
La Crescenta Presbyterian Church.

All participants are expected attend the rehearsal on Monday, November 13, starting at 3:30pm at LCPC.  The rehearsal is primarily for everyone to get familiar with the staging, and groups can leave after they are done on stage.

 ARCADIA GAME RECAP

What a way to spend my birthday...at a high school football game with the famous CV Falcons!  Even though the team lost their last game of the year, the band had a great time in the stands playing pep songs and cheering.  It was a high energy night which ended up with many people earning sore arms after the game making it a memorable last game for some seniors.
I would like to thank the parent chaperones and organizers who made sure that our kids received snacks and water at every game.  They also made sure that our instruments and equipment arrived at every game safely and securely.  In addition, I'd like to thank the parents who braved the bus and made sure that our students arrived at each football game (and came home).
The CVHS instrumental music program is truly a team effort and without dedicated parental involvement, we could not do what we do.
Thank you!
