FALCON NOTES

Another year is almost over.  I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for a wonderful year.  Students, parents, faculty, private teachers, and family members have all helped out in some way to ensure success for the instrumental music department at CV.

My wife and I would like to thank the Boosters for the wonderful gift of a weekend getaway.  It was both generous and thoughtful.  Now as soon as I can convince my wife to let "Grandma" watch Scott for a weekend, we'll be off!  (She hasn't been away from him for more than 12 hours at a time!)

There will be one more newsletter next week, then two Summer issues.  The newsletters will resume the week before band camp.

 GRADUATION INFORMATION

All students are to report at the music room at CV by 7:00am on June 22 for rehearsal. 
 
Students will then meet at CV by 4:00pm in concert dress for Graduation. 

Those choosing to rent their instrument over the summer need to bring $30.00.

  BAND CAMP DATES & TIMES

We have over 99 students enrolled in Marching Band for next year and everyone is expected to be at band camp.  Do not expect us to remind you.  We will attempt send out information over the summer, but if you do not hear from us, you are still responsible for coming to Band Camp.

Drumline / Colorguard: August 14 - 18, 9-1
Officers: August 16 - 18, 9-1
Everyone: August 21-Sept. 2: 8:00am - 4:00pm.


The 2006-7 school year begins on
Tuesday, Sept. 5.

Congratulations to everyone who tried out.  This is a preliminary roster and depending on individual growth (and lack of...) over the summer, the line could change.  We expect EVERYONE to work hard this summer and come to Drumline Camp on August 14 from 9-1 prepared to work. 
People interested in joining / trying out for Pit percussion must also be at drum camp on August 14th.
