FALCON NOTES Parental involvement is one of the main factors that separates CV from many high schools. Our success as a school is because of a high degree of parent involvement. Many parents stop taking an active role in their child's life once they hit High School. Being a teacher for the past 12 years, I watch my 10 month old (soon to be 11 months) and realize how important it is to be involved during all stages of his life and not just the early developmental years. Even though students pretend like they don't want their parents around, I know it makes a difference when parents go to school concerts, athletic events, and other school functions. Students of parents who take an active interest in their lives are usually more confident, mature, and well adjusted. We have many involved music parents who ensure that the music program not only thrives for their child, but for others. Thank you! |

AUDITION TIMES POSTED A record number of students have submitted audition forms this year. Over 60 CV students are auditioning for either Jazz Band or Symphony Orchestra. On May 12, I will be going to Rosemont to audition them personally. To see your audition time, click on the link here. If you can not find your time, please contact Mr. Schick as soon as possible. Remember your audition requirements and be prepared. Everyone gets nervous during auditions and I recommend that students practice by playing in front of friends, family and neighbors before they audition. |
