FALCON NOTES I would like to start off by saying "don't adjust your email settings." The cvhs Instrumental email newsletter has been in hiatus for a few weeks. I am in the process of juggling work, a new baby (who is already 8 3/4 months old and is a wonderful handful!) a new student teacher this semester, and fatherhood. Please bear with me in the next few weeks as I figure out how to get this newsletter out on a regular basis. March is upon us and that means festival season. Please refer to the box on the lower right for dates as well as the calendar on the website for more detailed information. This Friday, Symphony will perform at an SCSBOA Festival at Santa Monica High School. This Saturday, Symphony, Band AND Jazz Band will perform at festival. See the website for details. |

BAND PERFORMS AT COUNCIL PTA
TO RAVE REVIEWS Last Thursday, February 23rd, the Band performed for Council PTA's annual Founders day dinner. They were a hit as they marched in and surrounded the entire cafeteria as they performed the school fight song as well as other pep songs. This was a last minute event and the Band did themselves proud by performing for every high school and middle school principal in the district as well as the superintendent and board members of GUSD. | ||

SYMPHONY STRINGS PERFORM AT THE BILTMORE HOTEL
FOR BRAVO AWARD 2/28 Since our school was honored last year with the prestigious BRAVO award, we have been invited to provide entertainment at this year's award ceremony. Both the Charismatic and and the Symphony Strings will perform at the gala event held at the Biltmore hotel in Los Angeles. They will travel by bus to the Biltmore for a rehearsal at 4:00, then be fed a box dinner and perform around 7:30 - 8:30. Concert Dress is required |
