FALCON NOTES

Thank you for taking the time and interest and support in the Instrumental Music Program.  Our program would not be as successful without the help and support of the Booster parents and volunteers.  Our music students are incredibly lucky that we have parents who volunteer by chaperoning, chairing fundraisers, hemming uniforms, writing grants, setting up, cleaning up, hauling instruments, fixing instruments, making phone calls, or just donating their time or money.  Without your tireless commitment, our students could not be as successful.

I thank and encourage you to attend our November Parent meeting to see what you can do to become involved.  It doesn't take much to become involved and make a difference in our student's life.  We have 270 students involved in the music program and depend on parent support.  Our Winter Concert is coming up in December and  we need many parent volunteers to help our tradition of excellent concerts.

We have our first car wash of the year this Saturday the  12th in the Upper parking lot at CV.  We need volunteers to help.  If you can help out, contact Mr. Schick

We will be selling holiday See's Candy soon to make your holiday shopping easy!  Start thinking who on your holiday list would love some wonderful See's Candy.

MUIR AND CHINO RECAP

The football game was an extremely lopsided one with a huge victory for Muir.  Our Football team will still go to CIF playoffs with three wins however.
The Band was able to perform their field show during halftime in preparation for their first competition of the year.

The Chino Invitational has been around since 1971 and some of the best bands in the southern California compete against each other.  We have been invited to perform for the past two years and this year we competed in both the band review (parade) and Field show competitions.

Marching Band's first competition of the year was a huge success!  They earned 2nd place in the Band Review competition and the Drumline  took 3rd place in the Field Show Competition.

Out of 16 bands who competed in the both the Field Show and Band Review, CV took home the 6th place Sweepstakes Trophy with the 6th highest combined total scores from both competitions.  Great job Falcons!  We are very proud of you!

LAST HOME FB GAME 10-11-05

Our football team will play their last home game this Friday against Arcadia.  If you've never come to a football game, this is your last chance to see a great game and a great band perform their half-time show.
We will also be recognizing Seniors during our half-time show so come and show your support.
