FALCON NOTES
 The
Marching Band had a great time at UCLA Band day last Saturday. The
Band saw a wonderful football game and performed a halftime show
in front of 49,000 fans at the Rose Bowl with the UCLA Marching Band as
well as 40 other High School Bands. Homecoming week is upon us. This week will be a very busy and tradition-filled one. It is a time when Alumni come back to CV to watch football and reminisce about "the good old days." The band will be participating in three homecoming events. First, they will perform at the Spirit Assembly on Wednesday. Then, they will participate in the annual Bonfire this Thursday from 5:30 - 7:30. Finally, they will perform a special half-time with Rosemont Students during the football game on Friday. Our opponent is Glendale High and since it is tradition to perform the Star Spangled Banner AND share half-time shows with them, we will perform before the game starts at 6:40. This Saturday is also the Homecoming Dance for the students. So, you can see, it will be a very busy week! |

ALUMNI BAND PART III- HOMECOMING (10-28-05) Hi all you graduates. This is Dee Farnsworth, Will Long's mom, class of 05! I'm organizing the homecoming alumni band this year so please come and be part of the great fun we have during third quarter. YOU KNOW how great we sound and YOU KNOW that you want to be part of that! Homecoming is October 28, 2005. Call time is 6pm on the outside practice field (at Glendale High School) for a short practice. If you can't make it then, please just come late and join us in the stands behind the real band. We don't play until third quarter anyway. The real band does their halftime show BEFORE the football game at 7pm. Mr. Schick is putting the pep songs on the Falcon music website in case you forget them. We need an alumni drum major by the way........
