FALCON NOTES As we complete our 4th week, I remember how easily the “newness” of things wears off. The beginning of the year was met with enthusiasm, excitement and wonder. Now, as students are digging their heels into the daily grind of homework, activities, and school, it is important to keep the positiveness and enthusiasm of the new school year alive. Students should balance their social and school time. There is no realistic reason why anyone has to be up until 3:00a.m. doing homework on a regular basis. No matter how many AP’s or activities one has. Try to budget your time so you can be successful in everything that you do. As a parent, keep on inquiring about how your child’s day went and ask them questions to remind them that you are interested in their lives. When your parents ask you how your day was, don’t just say “fine.” Find some interesting thing that happened to you and share with them. You’ll be surprised how it opens doors in communication and bring the family closer. This is an important year for everyone and with us all working together, it will be extremely successful. |

BOSTON! ** NEW DEVELOPMENTS** We knew that this trip was a large jump in price from our previous trips due to increased transportation, baggage, and fuel costs. I went back to our travel agent to see if we could reduce the price a bit and he is currently finding ways to lower our cost by investigating other airlines. It was explained to me that with the airline industry, we actually pay MORE for large groups. We will contact everyone as soon as we find out if we can rework a lower price. To the 96 who have already submitted deposits, we have not cashed any checks and will let you know as soon as possible so we can move forward with this. If you have not yet submitted a deposit, we will still accept once we figure out if we can qualify for a lower rate. If interested in being a chaperone, please submit your name to me. Chaperones pay half-price. Chaperones must travel with the group BOTH WAYS. |
COOKIEMAN FUNDRAISER - By now you should have customers “Order” 10 items! Tomorrow is the deadline to turn in all your Cookieman order forms and money! This earns funds for the music department, and for your personal Students Credits, which can be applied to Boston or other expenses. Cookieman Sales end on Sept. 26th, and items will be delivered by October November 20th . DREAM DINNER REPORTA special thanks to Lisa Dutton for organizing the “Dream Dinner’s” Fundraiser. We raised $574.00! Thank you also to those who purchased tickets and made their dinner. I actually showed up on Monday and made a tasty Chicken Alfredo, which my family ate last night and it was delicious! |
