FALCON NOTES
Welcome to another edition of our Falcon Email Newsletter! There are exciting things happening and I hope that each and every one of you have an opportunity to take advantage of the music department events in the upcoming weeks. Being involved at School is an important way for your child to build connections, gain confidence, and grow. Encourage yourself to participate in the many activities we have at school. It could be helping out at the car wash, attending the swing dance, getting your car washed, or going to a festival to chaperone. With 270 students involved in the instrumental music department, we have many potential families with potential to get involved, however we have about 20-30 families who actually get involved on a regular basis. Challenge yourself in the upcoming weeks to get involved! Have a wonderful weekend I hope to see you soon! |

SECTIONAL UPDATE Due to the rampant amount of make-ups for sectionals and lowered second semester grades due to students not attending sectionals, I am implementing a pilot program to track students who miss two sectionals in a row, or only have a 50/50 average over time. Letters will be sent home with students who avoid sectionals which must be signed by parents and returned. This will inform parents that students are not attending sectionals and hopefully encourage students to start attending them. |
