Welcome back everyone! Those extra two days truly made a
difference. I hope everyone had a chance to relax, unwind and

INSTRUMENTAL WINTER CONCERT RECAP
The 2008 Winter Concert was a
great success! Thanks go to all who helped put it together,
and especially to the students who put on an amazing performance.
I hope every family was able to attend, and start their holiday break
with beautiful music. Plan ahead - our next concert will be the Spring Concert on Friday, April 3! Mark your calendars now, plan to come and support your student. |
Come one, come all! Please attend the
monthly CVIM Parent-Booster meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 13th, 7:00-8:00pm.
Students get extra credit points if a parent attends. |

eSCRIP
for RALPHS and VONS If you haven't done so already, please sign up for Vons Scrip and Ralphs Scrip. Instructions on how to do this online can be download here. If you can't download from this email, please visit www.falconmusic.org and click the link on the front page, or pick up a handout from the classroom. This is a very painless way to raise funds for our music department. In 2007, we received $9,500 from eScrip alone! |
GRADES First Semester is coming to the end; Finals will be given the last week of January. Students will be tested on scales and the pieces being played in class. Practice practice practice, and be sure to attend all sectionals! Grades are posted in the instrumental room, and will be updated weekly. If there is an error or question about a grade, please fill out a Grade Question form and turn it in to Mr. Schick. |

CHARMS Student's basic assignments are being entered into CHARMS. (sectionals, scales tests, and event attendance). To access CHARMS online, click here or type https://www.charmsoffice.com. Once you are on the Log In to Parent's Area, our school log in is: crescentav . To see your student's personal information, enter their GUSD ID#. |
SAN FRANCISCO UPDATE! The 3rd payment of $150 for the Spring Trip to San Francisco is due Jan. 23rd. There is a late fee of $20 if not paid by the due dates. There are still some spots available, so it is not too late to sign up! Contact Mr. Schick if you are interested. Permission slips, medical release forms and roommate requests will be passed out soon! |
