FALCON NOTES We're back! We needed last week to catch up, but now we're ready for the homestretch. The Spring Trip went very well. Out of the 5 performing groups which went, 3 received Superior Ratings and 2 received Excellent Ratings. The Dinner Cruise was the highlight of the trip and our Disneyland Sessions truly were remarkable. This trip proved that it's not necessarily "where" you are going that makes a wonderful experience but the fact that you are going on a trip with your friends. Thank you for a great time and don't forget to mark your calendars for next years trip to Boston! There are few things happening in May such as Jazz Band gigs, freshman orientation, Auditions, Car Wash, Pops concert, Ensemble Concert, and of course... TESTING. Have a great week! POPS CONCERT ADS FUNDRAISER - Every student is being asked to sell an "ad" space for this year's POPS CONCERT Program! The Program will be a beautiful, professional- quality glossy 8x10 souvenir memory book, and "ads" can be business ads, friends-photos, Senior memories, and family well-wishes. Ad Order Forms are Due Tomorrow! Tues, 4/29!!				EVENTS CORNER INCOMING FRESHMAN - PARENTS INFORMATION MEETING!! If you have an incoming freshman instrumental student 2008-09 (or know someone who does!), PLEASE attend this important meeting! Even if you already have a student in the program and now have a younger sibling who will be in a different class, you should come. There will be overviews of the different classes and tons of information. Especially if your student will be in Marching Band 2008-09... there is a lot to know! DATE: Tuesday, April 29 TIMES: 7-8:00pm, Music Rooms on Ramsdell Check the Detailed Calendar for info and updates on events.
TASTE OF JAZZ BAND In May, Jazz Band will be performing at both the Taste of Montrose (5/4) and for the Taste of Downtown Glendale (5/14). Mark your calendar and plan to attend both these fun events!
OPEN HOUSE RECAP It was a pleasure to meet so many parents at Open House! If you weren't able to chat with me about your student, I encourage you to call me at school at 818-249-5871 x3106, or email me at MSchick@gusd.net. The more that parents are involved in their children's education, the better children do in school.			MARK BLINOFF GRANT The deadline for the Mark Blinoff Grant is tomorrow. If you are a graduating Senior click Blinoff2008 to print a form. All forms must be mailed by April 29th to be considered. Do NOT give your forms to Mr. Schick
