FALCON NOTES

It just gets better and better.  Congratulations are in order for Wind Ensemble, String Orchestra, Symphony and String Orchestra.  Wind Ensemble received an Excellent rating from our SCSBOA Festival and all the other groups received Superior ratings.  Symphony and Concert Both received UNANIMOUS Superiors!  We have worked very hard this year and it shows in our Superior results!
Jazz Band performed at Two Strike Park for an Arbor Day celebration and the memorial for Nick Steinbacher.  It was a fitting memorial to a CV grad of strong character and an "Oak" of the community.

We've been very busy this week as we prepare for Florida.  Check the website soon for last minute reminders and information!  Have a great week!

BELLFLOWER HS FESTIVAL RESULTS - SUPERIOR!

Last night, the String Orchestra and Symphony Orchestra traveled to Bellflower High School to perform in our last SCSBOA festival of the year.  Both groups earned Superior ratings with Symphony earning unanimous Superiors!  All the judges were impressed by our professionalism, musicality and difficulty of music!  What a way to prepare for Florida!
BALDWIN PARK FESTIVAL RESULTS - SUPERIOR!

Concert Band and Wind Ensemble made History at Sierra Vista High School last Wednesday.  The Wind Ensemble earned a score of "Excellent" with one judge awarding them a "Superior" rating.  Last year, Wind Ensemble earned a "Good."
Concert Band earned a score of "Superior" with all three judges awarding the "Superior" marks.   This is the highest score Concert Band has ever had!  Great job!  SCSBOA always judges hard and to earn a Superior is a great accomplishment.  One our big strengths this year is quality of sound and musicality.  Way to go!!
