FALCON NOTES

Mozart lives!  Last Thursday, a poor hummingbird found its way into the Instrumental room.  It fluttered around and hung on to the ceiling microphones listening to music all day.  After evening band rehearsal around 7:00 PM, a student and parent finally caught the poor exhausted bird in a shoebox and placed him in the shrubs near the music room.  We placed a hummingbird feeder nearby in an attempt to nourish him.  All day long students were very concerned.  Period 2 even nicknamed him "Mozart."
As you can see, we are steadily in the thick of things here in the instrumental music department.  From saving birds to learning music, the Instrumental department does a lot!
Don't forget the parent meeting this Tuesday from 7:00-8:00 PM in the instrumental room.
Band WILL meet on Tuesday for Banking Day at the regular time of 6:45 AM.
Have a great week!

Thursday, October 12: Rosemont Night + Alumni Band

 FOOTBALL GAME VS. PASADENA

Each game, we just keep improving our field show.  We added drill to our new song, "Teeve Time," and the band did a great job considering that they only had a few days to learn the drill.  We are currently focusing on increasing the precision and endurance of everyone in the band and colorguard in order to give an exciting performance from beginning to end.
Many things came together on Friday.  The band and percussion ended "Violet B." together for the first time at a performance.

There is still much to focus on for our first competition on the 21st of October, but I'm confident that we will be ready!  "
Great Job everyone!
