FALCON NOTES

Finals are among us!  It’s hard to imagine that we are halfway through the year.  We’ve accomplished so many amazing things so far that I eagerly await what second semester brings.
As Honor Orchestra manager this year for SCSBOA I had the privilege of working with many outstanding youth and adults this weekend at the annual High School Honor groups concert at Cal State Long Beach.  I’ve enjoyed this job for the past 5 years because it allows me to learn new conducting techniques as well as gives me an opportunity to work with the top High School Honor Orchestra in Southern California.  I was also proud to have three of our own CV students participate in the concert.  I encourage all of our talented students to try out for this amazing experience next year when they hold auditions at CV in January.
Have a wonderful week and I hope that all of our students do well during finals and come back “refreshed” and “ready” for second semester!
