FALCON NOTES What a great second week! Thank you to everyone who attended the informative parent meeting last Tuesday. We had over 70 parents attend! If you missed the meeting, minutes will be posted on the Boosters page. Last Wednesday, the Marching Band took their official group Pictures. I was extremely impressed because it only took 30 minutes to get the entire group dressed. Great job! Don't forget to sign-up for the ensemble concert. Sign-ups end this Wednesday. We had our first Musical Dining at Dominick's last Thursday. Thank you to everyone who went to Dominick's and supported the music department. Back To School Night - MB Performs This Thursday is Back to School night. Please make sure to come and meet all of your teachers. Marching Band will perform at Back to School night and needs to meet in the band room with their polo shirt and blue jeans. Call time is 5:30 - 6:55.	ENTERTAINMENT BOOKS Entertainment Books were passed out last week. They are $25.00 each and include discounts to many local and non-local places. Each students needs to sell only one book by Friday. Please make the checks payable to CVHS and write BAND in the memo line. If you would like to order a book online for another city, go to www.fundrasising.entertainment.com Our account # is 618154. FIRST AWAY GAME Well, it was another heartbreaker for the the football team. They had some good defensive moments, but just couldn't pull it through. The Band did its best to pump the crowd by playing many energetic tunes. See pictures of the band on our website.	SPRING TRIP This year, the music department will be taking a trip to San Francisco and making a stop at Monterey Bay on the way home. The first deposit of $75.00 is due Wednesday October 5. A letter will be sent home with a sample itinerary and more details.		Ensemble Concert Sign-ups Final Day This Wednesday is the last day to finalize Ensemble Concert groups and pieces. Please make sure to contact Mr. Schick by Wednesday the 21st if you plan to try out the ensemble concert.
