FALCON NOTES Welcome to the first edition of the Instrumental e-mail newsletter. We have a new dynamic look this year so that we can provide essential information to parents, students and friends. I hope you've all had a great summer so far. We still have about 4 weeks until school officially starts, however things are starting to get into gear for the music department. In the next few days, the music department Website will have updated calendar, downloads, and information for the 2005-6 School year. In the meantime, over 4,000 pictures from last year have been put online. Check out the pictures because they won't be there forever. BAND CAMP INFORMATION Band Camp is just around the corner. We have an exciting year planned with new pep songs and a wonderful field show based on the music of Ray Charles. The Marching Band will perform the following Ray Charles Tunes: America the Beautiful Hallelujah Let the Good Times Roll Georgia on My Mind Bye Bye Love Download the music from the web site. The password to download the field show music is "cvfalcons06"	The drill and music is complete so we are expect to learn the bulk of the show during band camp. Band Camp is mandatory for people enrolled in Marching Band. We memorize the music and drill so if a student misses band camp, they might not be in the field show and will have to make up the time they missed. Students will also have to download the fight song. The password for the Fight Song is "Falcon2003" Please contact Mr. Schick for questions.		CVIM news Crescenta Valley Instrumental Music has formed a Foundation to better support the Instrumental Music Department. This Foundation, CVIM, formerly the Instrumental Boosters will have monthly meetings to discuss ways to support the Program. The first meeting of the year is September 13 at 7:00 in the Instrumental Music Room.
