Congratulations to Melissa Kim for earning 1st place in the Drum Major Category at the Duarte Route 66 Parade! We are so proud of her! Also, congratulations to Color Guard for earning 3rd place! We were all moved up a division from last year so the competition was tough! Band did really well and scored their highest Music Score in over 12 years! They were .1 points away from 3rd place!
This week, we will participate in our first Field Show Competition of the season at Don Lugo High School. Come out and watch us perform! Step off is at 7:55pm! Band Students meet at school at 1:00pm for a rehearsal until 3:00pm. Following that, we will eat Yaki’s, before we move out!
Students interested in auditioning for the SCSBOA Honor Band and Orchestra need to fill out the following SCSBOA Audition Application and go to www.scsboa.org and click “honor groups” to get audition requirements. This year, we will host the Sunday Auditions! This is a wonderful opportunity to play amazing music with talented musicians. Thank you!
